There are so many stunning features in Gui Province due to its mountainous Karst landscape that this beautiful random waterfall just sits on the side of the road, drawing no attention to itself. Elsewhere, this would surely be a park or a tourist attraction.
Standing on the rim of Grand Canyon in the sun, I watched as dark clouds form and cover the entire canyon floor, bringing a dramatic contrast.
As I grew as a photographer, I learned to never be detered by bad weather. When I arrived at Karersee, I was disappointed that the famous peaks were shrouded in clouds. But the clouds were fast moving, and within a few minutes, those magical peaks appared in a hole in the clouds, as if sprouting out of nowhere. Another minute late, the clouds closed in again, but I was happy the clouds were there that day. I think the end result is much better than what I would have captured if the skies were blue.
